Booking Through Thursday: Secondary

This week's Booking Through Thursday asks...

Favorite secondary characters? (Note the plural)

First to come to mind is El Capitan and Helmud from Pure by Julianna Baggott. I expected El Capitan to be a brutal, mean officer like all the others but he turns out to have a good heart. I was so happy when I found this out and wanted to keep cheering for him. I also think Helmud knows more than he lets on. I am hoping to find out if this is true in the next book. Besides these two brothers I am at a loss trying to think of more characters.

Picture Post!

I just finished up in Chicago last night. Oh was it a tough one. I am very happy it is over. I did manage to get a couple pictures between all the craziness going on. So this week's Picture Post! is going to feature two pictures...




Ceiling of a cab I rode in. This made my day! The whole cab ride I was looking at all the buttons and decorations he had in there. Before I got out I left him a dollar bill from the Bahamas to put up if he wanted (I hope he does!)




This was my view out of my second hotel room. I had to change rooms after a few days because my first neighbor was causing problems.

Q: You are a matchmaker- your goal, hook up two characters from your favorite books. Who would it be? How do you think it would go?

A: I am going to try to make sparks fly with Diane Bishop from A Discovery of Witches and Marco from The Night Circus. A witch who denies her magic and a magician who uses his surroundings to create magic. Could be an interesting couple. They could either get along very well or literally make sparks fly (not in a good way). I would have fingers crossed that they would work out and create some amazing magic together.

Booking Through Thursday: DIY

Once again I forgot what day it is because work has been crazy, so this is a day late.

This week's Booking Through Thursday asks...

If you could write a book, what would it be about, and why?

Hmm I have never thought about this because I never considered myself much of a writer. But I think I would have to write a book about my experiences traveling. It would be funny and witty. I mean seriously, some of the things I do for work on a day to day basis are just ridiculous- like being a human sign for hours at a time. And just last night I witnessed a work function for another company going on in the hotel lobby. It was about 10pm and everyone was dancing to club music. I LOVE people watching so even though I needed to be going to sleep I stayed to watch, along with many other people. This group of people were having so much fun but I seriously could not believe some of the dance moves I saw (definitely not work appropriate). It's the small things like watching people dance, that make my day and I think all of it compiled into a book would probably be pretty funny.
