Feature & Follow Friday #24

Q: What drove you to start blogging in the first place?

A: I needed an outlet for all my bookish thoughts. For awhile I tried getting my mom to read all the books I read so we could talk about them, but she wasn't keeping up haha. I had too many book thoughts and no where to share. I had no idea there was even a book blogging community when I started. Now Reading Kelly is like a diary of my books with the occasional travel post thrown in and I love it.

Why did you start blogging? Leave me a comment and let me know!

  1. I ended up keeping mine for that reason as well! I love reading and needed someone to talk to about them!

  2. I started blogging a long time ago as an outlet to try and get through high school! I had just random blogs before and never had anything really stick until I started a book blog. I love the book blogging community and it's great having an outlet to talk about books. No one but one of my fellow blogging friends loves books as much as I do so I love being able to talk about books all the time without being told to shut up!

    1. I love having a supportive community. Some of my friends and family get tired of my talking books all the time.

  5. Thanks for stopping by my blog and following. Old follower via GFC. My mom was the only person I knew who could read as much as me. But I agree- that's one of the great things about blogging. Meeting people who love books so much they not only read books, they want to share their thoughts about books. Until I started blogging, I didn't have an appreciation for how much time people spent writing detailed reviews. But I do now.

  6. It's always awesome when you love your blog. I've been through some phases where I hated blogging but still forced myself to and that was just awful.

    Followed back via GFC!

  9. Great answer! I feel the same way. I always want my friends/sister/husband to hurry up and read a book so we can discuss it and dissect every part of it, but they don't always keep up and are often reading their own books (i don't understand that - they should just read what i recommend ;)
Thanks for the follow! I'm following you back :)
